The Demo is finally ready!
Dianthus - The Mark of Death Demo is finally ready! This version of the game is a good reflection of the future final version. (Not including potential bugs you may find.)
Here is a list of all of the changes I've made since the last time I've updated!
New loot system added. Now barrels and pots will always contain money while boxes, shelves and other miscellaneous objects can be searched for items, herbs or rarely ammo.
A crafting system has been added. You can now craft serums, antidotes, bandages etc with the items you find in the world. You can also craft armor, weapons and ammo making things a bit easier. You can also purchase basic items from the merchant if you find yourself running low.
Accessories have been added. These cannot be bought by normal means or crafted, they must be traded using blood coins. How do you obtain blood coins? Books.
Added various books. While searching bookshelves you'll come across all kinds of books which can be sold to the merchant or a special shop keep for blood coins. Books also contain small bits of lore for those interested.
Guns. All of the guns have had their attack power doubled.
New Stats. New stats have been added to make the game a bit more interesting.
Accuracy - This is your critical chance. Critical hits deal double damage.
Speed - This reduces the reload time for the shotgun and rifle.
Defense - This reduces psychical damage taken.
Psychic Resist - This reduces magic damage taken.
Buffed Enemies. All basic enemies have had their HP increased by 100% or greater, their damage has been increased by 60% and given more
randomization.
Bosses - The boss of this demo has had a 50% HP increase and a 150% increase to damage.
The boss of Ashton Castle has been given an additional dangerous ability, try not to get caught.
A new mini boss was added.
A new section of Trighbon Township was added, the Eastern Town and Western Slums.
Herbs have been placed all over Trighbon, they like to blend in so keep an eye out.
Many new items were added to compliment the crafting system.
Status Effects were added. These can be dangerous if stacked upon each other. The new effects are:
Poison, Infection, Bleed, Fire 1 & 2, Engulfing Shadowflame, Shock 1 & 2 and Burn.
Pressing the G key will let you walk slower, press it again to return to normal speed.
The story has changed to be a closer reflection of the final product.
New coin flip treasure chests were added. Calling correctly gives you a chance to get expensive crafting materials, calling incorrectly gives you normal scavenging loot.
Many typos were corrected and bug fixes were applied.
